Our Process

OUR PROCESS

The foundation pathway is based on comptia’s core skills certifications and consists of four individual certifications. We refer to this as the foundation pathway as it sets the foundation of knowledge and skills for it jobs and, other pathways as well. The infrastructure pathway and cybersecurity pathway are two pathways that lead to further certifications in advanced areas. They are all pathways to success!

Getting Started

Step One


The TMS Academy offers three different options for classes. In order to get you on the right path we begin with an IT Fundementals pretest. The next step is to talk to a couselor about your score and what path you want to take. The counselor can answer your questions about the different certifications and make suggestions to get you started on the right path.

Step Two


Your pretest score will suggest if you should start with an IFT+ learning-track, fast-track or an on-demand course. If you score high enough and do not want to take theh IFT+ then you can move on to the A+ course. Each subsequent course requires a pretest to help you decide on which track would be most benificial to you.

Step Three


After determining which track suits you the TMS administrative staff with help you with tutuion and enrollment in the course. This is also when you will determine what schedule that you want. During this step we will also get you set up with your learning materials and login accounts.

Step Four


We will do a follow-up to make sure that you are all set to get started. At this point we will also ask you to take a short survey to identify any issues that you had so, that we can correct any problems that arose during the process.

Army, AirForce, and Coast Guard


TMS Academy proudly stands as an authorized provider of the Army, Air Force, and Coast Guard Credentialing Assistance (CA) Programs. This grant funding is carefully crafted to enhance your skill set, pave the way for career advancements, and support your transition into civilian professions through comprehensive credential training. Our dedicated CA enrollment team is comprised exclusively of Military Veterans, ready to assist you in selecting the program that perfectly aligns with your aspirations and goals.

Spouses of Active-Duty Service Members


Military spouses, take note: You may qualify for financial assistance of up to $4,000 from the Department of Defense. This support is distributed in increments of up to $2,000 per fiscal year, encouraging spouses of active-duty service members to pursue education and training in fields leading to portable careers. TMS Academy proudly offers MyCAA-approved programs that can be accessed anytime, anywhere. Our certification programs lead to highly sought-after jobs that cater to the specific needs of military families, offering both flexibility and stability.
